Hotel and restaurant software development in India: GST rates, FSSAI numbers and service charge rules. Your billing software carries them all.

Room GST now depends on the price of each room, and bills must show your FSSAI number. Service charge cannot be added by default, and foreign guests must be reported within 24 hours. We build booking engines, ordering systems and billing that get these details right on every bill.

What we build

What we build for hotels, restaurants and food businesses.

01 Direct booking engines Booking on your own website and Google Business Profile, with the right GST for each room price and UPI or card payments. A channel manager link stops rooms on MakeMyTrip or Booking.com being sold twice.
02 Billing that follows the rules POS and invoice templates that print your FSSAI number, apply the GST rate your CA sets and show service charge only as an optional line the guest chooses.
03 Online ordering and WhatsApp Your own ordering site and WhatsApp ordering with opt-in, alongside Zomato and Swiggy, plus an ONDC connection if you want one, with every order on one kitchen screen.
04 Guest check-in and C form data Digital check-in that captures ID and, for foreign guests, the details the C form needs, with a 24-hour reminder and guest data kept safe under the DPDP Act.

Hospitality and food questions

Frequently asked questions.

Which GST rate should our booking engine charge?

Since 22 September 2025, rooms priced at ₹7,500 or less per day attract 5 per cent GST without input tax credit. Rooms above that attract 18 per cent with credit. We set the rate by room price, so a seasonal price change moves the tax too. Your CA confirms the setup before launch.

Can our billing software add a service charge?

Only as an optional line the guest chooses. CCPA guidelines bar adding it automatically or by default, and the Delhi High Court upheld them in March 2025. In July 2026 the CCPA ordered a café chain to change its billing software. We build bills where service charge stays off unless the guest adds it.

Can you help us take more direct bookings?

Yes. A fast booking engine on your website and Google Business Profile, WhatsApp enquiries with opt-in and offers for returning guests all help. We connect it to your channel manager, so bookings from travel sites such as MakeMyTrip and your direct bookings share one calendar. We cannot promise how many guests will choose to book direct.

Do homestays need to report foreign guests?

Yes. Under the Immigration and Foreigners Act, 2025, every place that houses a foreign guest must upload the guest's details in a C form within 24 hours of arrival. That includes homestays and private homes. We build check-in forms that capture these details and remind your team before the deadline.
